While the device does not have the ability to operate 24/7 remotely, the device is user-friendly and suitable for a seven-year-old to use. Unfortunately, the device cannot log data readings permanently nor calculate wind chill and relative humidity. Additionally, the temperature reading may be inaccurate or delayed, although the wind speed readings are reliable. Overall, the BTMETER BT-866A is a sturdy and reasonably priced device that can successfully determine if windspeed is over a specific limit. Users who require highly accurate anemometers or additional specifications should look elsewhere.
