The Solid State Logic ( SSL ) Solid State Logic/SSL 2 Audio Interface is a highlight recommended product for the who want to record in a professional environment at an affordable price. The sound quality is excellent and the input gain meter is accurate. The 4K switch adds an analog Console feel, but it is not very different from lifting the treble with EQ. The LINE and Hi-Z switches may be configing to some Consumers. The interface is easy to adjust the volume and has a clear sound. The software included in the bundle has permanent licenses for Drum strip and Vocal strip, which can create lighter distortion and a pleasant sound. However, some customers have complained that the LINE and Hi-Z switches broke after only 1 year and 4 months of use. Additionally, there is no main power supply attached and the teasing knob for monitor level adjustment is useless, making the design awkward. Despite these drawbacks, the SSL Solid State Logic/SSL 2 Audio Interface is still an excellent choice for the start starting out in recording.
