This lens, equivalent to a full-frame 30mm focal length, is a wide-angle marvel that delivers top-tier optical performance in a compact build, supporting an image resolution exceeding 100 megapixels. The large aperture of f/2.5 makes this lens a versatile tool for photojournalism, excelling in both indoor and outdoor settings. The lens is equipped with an upgraded leaf shutter, capable of reaching a shutter speed up to 1/2000s and offering flash synchronization at all speeds. The shutter operates both quickly and quietly, complemented by a newly designed focusing module for swift and accurate focusing. The XCD 2.5/38V lens features both a focus ring and a lens control ring. Transitioning between AF and MF is seamless with a simple push and pull of the focus ring. In MF mode, focus distance and DOF readings are easily accessible. The control ring can be customized for quick access to your preferred function, enhancing the user experience. This low-distortion wide-angle lens is perfect for documentary, street, or landscape photography, allowing you to capture more environmental details in portrait mode or create a soft bokeh effect with the large f/2.5 aperture. The XCD 2.5/38V lens can also create Hasselblad's signature eight-point starburst effect on bright light sources, thanks to its narrow aperture and leaf shutter blades. With a minimum focusing distance of only 30cm, this lens is ideal for capturing cuisine, products, and other still subjects. Despite its compact optical design, small and lightweight focusing module, and optimized leaf shutter, the XCD 2.5/38V lens weighs only 350g, yet delivers top-class optical performance. The XCD 2.5/38V lens is a testament to Hasselblad's commitment to precision optics and outstanding imagery. The lens is crafted from high-quality glass, carefully ground to perfect its optical quality and meet the resolution requirements of 100 million pixels. The upgraded focusing module adopts a linear stepping motor and a lighter, smaller focusing lens group, eliminating any backlash from the lens group moving. Coupled with the PDAF technology of the X2D 100C, the focusing lens group can quickly reach the focusing position and achieve a precise stop, resulting in fast, flexible, and accurate focusing. The XCD 2.5/38V lens is a precision-crafted metal lens with a focus ring and a newly added control ring, both delicately engraved with a Hasselblad H logo print. The design is a nod to the memorable look of the HC/HCD lenses, making it a perfect addition to any X-system or 907X cameras.
