Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question:
What is the purpose of a right angle power cable?
Answer: A right angle power cable is designed to connect electrical devices while minimizing space usage. The angled connector allows for a flush fit against walls or other surfaces, making it ideal for tight spaces. This is particularly useful for devices like PCs and monitors where space is limited. For instance, if you want to place a monitor close to a wall without the cable sticking out, a right angle connector offers a clean and efficient solution. -
Question:
What devices are compatible with the 3 Prong Right Angle Power Cable?
Answer: The 3 Prong Right Angle Power Cable is versatile and widely compatible with various devices. It is specifically designed for use with devices that have a C13 connector, including computers, monitors, and TVs. Its universal nature makes it suitable for many electronic devices that require a robust power connection. For example, you can easily connect your gaming PC or LED monitor using this cable without worrying about space constraints. -
Question:
How does the cable's 18 AWG rating affect its performance?
Answer: The 18 AWG rating indicates the wire gauge, signifying the cable's capacity to carry current safely and efficiently. A lower AWG number means thicker wires, which can handle more power, reducing the risk of overheating and diminishing performance. For heavy-duty applications, such as powering high-demand devices like gaming PCs or high-resolution monitors, an 18 AWG cable ensures stable and reliable power delivery without significant loss. This makes it an ideal choice for home or office setups. -
Question:
Can this cable be used outdoors?
Answer: This particular 3 Prong Right Angle Power Cable is optimized for indoor use. It is not designed with weather-proof materials that would protect against outdoor elements like moisture or extreme temperatures. Therefore, it is recommended to use it in enclosed environments such as homes, offices, or studios, where indoor power connections are required. If you need outdoor cables, consider cables specifically marketed for outdoor use to ensure safety and longevity. -
Question:
What does 'heavy-duty' mean in the context of this power cable?
Answer: The term 'heavy-duty' refers to the cable's construction and ability to withstand demanding electrical loads. Heavy-duty cables are built with thicker, higher-quality materials to handle higher amperages without degrading. This is particularly beneficial for high-performance devices, as it ensures a more reliable power supply. For instance, if you're using this cable to power a gaming setup or high-end audio equipment, its heavy-duty nature helps prevent issues like voltage drops and overheating. -
Question:
Is this cable suitable for surge protectors?
Answer: Yes, the 3 Prong Right Angle Power Cable is compatible with surge protectors. Using this cable in combination with a surge protector can enhance the safety of your electronic devices by protecting them against voltage spikes and surges. This is vital when connecting sensitive equipment like computers and monitors. It allows users to benefit from additional layer of protection without compromising on the tidy cable management offered by the right angle design. -
Question:
What is the significance of the 90-degree design?
Answer: The 90-degree design of the connector significantly improves cable management by allowing devices to sit flush against walls or furniture. This design reduces strain on the power port of your device, as well as minimizes the chances of damaging the cable. For instance, when setting up a wall-mounted TV or an all-in-one computer in a tight corner, this angled connector allows you to maintain a clean look while protecting your equipment from potential damage. -
Question:
Can this power cable operate in different countries?
Answer: The ability to operate in different countries largely depends on voltage compatibility and plug types. Since this cable features a standard C13 connector, compatible devices can be used internationally, provided an appropriate plug adapter is used. Make sure to check the local voltage ratings and ensure BOLTS (BY pLUG TYPE) are suitable for safe operation in that country. This flexibility makes it a great choice for travelers or expatriates who use multiple devices across different regions. -
