The SkilSaw SPT70WM-22 10-1/4 In. Magnesium SAWSQUATCH Worm Drive Circular Saw is a powerful saw that can cut through thick materials. While some customers had issues with the packaging, the saw itself is well-constructed with a long blade that helps guide straight rip cuts. The motor is powerful and can cut through thick live edge slabs with ease. Some users did have issues with the smell of the saw burning during use and motor stress when cutting through 4x4s. The blade fits onto the arbor easily, though some customers had concerns about its stability. The saw is designed specifically for larger cuts, with a slower rpm on its blade, which makes it just as fast as a smaller blade diameter. There doesn't seem to be any practical difference between the SPT70WM-22 and the SPT70WM-01, other than the additional cost of the latter.
