Product Description
MSD 8202 Blaster 2 Ignition Coil with 8213 Coil Bracket
About This Item
Upgrade your stock coil and enhance the performance of your MSD ignition with the MSD 8202 Blaster 2 Ignition Coil. Designed with special 100:1 windings, this coil ensures maximum voltage buildup for improved ignition power. The oil-filled metal canister keeps the windings cool, ensuring optimal performance.
The durable alkyd tower assembly provides high dielectric characteristics, while the wide spaced brass primary terminals prevent any potential sparks. The MSD 8202 Blaster 2 Ignition Coil can be used with a stock ignition, Blaster Ignition, or MSD 5, 6, or 7 Ignition Control. It is compatible with both stock and MSD electronic ignitions.
Please check your ignition and manufacturer's specifications to determine if a ballast resistor is required for your specific application. Mallory Unilite applications also require a ballast resistor. To complement the performance of your MSD ignition coil, the package includes the MSD 8213 Coil Bracket.
This bracket offers easy and universal mounting for ignition coils up to 2-1/4 inches in diameter. Unlike other brands, this bracket uses a bolt and nut combination instead of easily stripped self-tapping screws. The coil mounting bracket is adjustable from 1-3/4 to 2-3/8 inches with slight bending of the mounting tabs.
Enjoy improved output with the MSD 8202 Blaster 2 Ignition Coil, whether you have stock points or electronic ignitions. This coil is also compatible with the Blaster Ignition, or MSD 5, 6, and 7 Series (points require a ballast resistor). Its 100:1 turns ratio and lower primary resistance produce high voltage output, resulting in enhanced ignition performance.
The red metal canister of the MSD 8202 Blaster 2 Ignition Coil is filled with premium-grade oil for cooling, ensuring its longevity. It is CARB E.O. Approved, meeting all necessary standards for emissions regulations.
Upgrade your ignition system today with the MSD 8202 Blaster 2 Ignition Coil and enhance the performance of your vehicle. Don't settle for stock when you can have the best.
