The Mil-Tec Vintage Aviator watch is a Quartz movement watch, with a rusty black "finish" on the steel. The watch has a decent weight of 78 grams/2.75 oz and has a 2cm/20mm wide leather strap. The watch is a tribute to the Luftwaffe pilots from World War II and as such has a vintage feel to it; it has a Miyota 2034 movement, which is not great and has a pressed-on case back (making it difficult to change the battery without a case back press). Reviews of the product suggest that the watch isn't as heavy-duty as advertised. There have been problems with the band; however, this can be easily replaced. Reviewers have noted that the black second hand on the black dial can make it difficult to see during daylight and impossible at night. Additionally, problems with the movement have been noted, including the battery dying after a year. Some have had problems with the back not coming off, and condensation inside the watch after one shower. Several reviewers found the watch to be a cool piece, and the watch has been compared favorably to genuine vintage watches at a lesser price. *
