The cargo tray extends a good amount past the spare tire mount on the bumper and has two holes - one for a threaded hitch pin and another for a hitch pin. The carrier comes with an ant-rattle bolt and a block that stabilises the cargo carrier. The hitch receiver can take a bike rack instead of the cargo tray. It is possible to open the rear hatch door when the cargo carrier is attached. A variety of cargo items can fit on the carrier, including 30 quart coolers.
