It has a perforated container that holds coffee grounds and sits above the water until you're ready to flip it. Once flipped, the hot water will percolate over the grounds and collect in the bottom half, which has a spout for easy pouring. The whole process takes just a few minutes, and the result is a delicious cup of coffee. The coffee maker is made of shiny stainless steel and, according to the FAQ section, is dishwasher safe, and doesn't need to be hand washed.
