Lanyarco Ascenders Editorial Review

The Lanyarco 25KN Heavy Duty Outdoor Rock Climbing Tree Arborist 12" - 58" Rope Grab Ascender Rigger Mountaineering Fall Protection Gear is a camming progress capturing device suitable for rope sizes between 1/2" and 5/8". The cam presses the rope into the channel to capture it, and the size of the rope will determine how well it is captured. There are two basic types of camming devices: spring-loaded and non-spring-loaded. This device is non-spring-loaded, so tension must be physically maintained on the cam to maintain its grip on the rope. When unloaded, the device can slide freely down the rope. To release the rope grab and slide it to another point along the rope, the handle must be moved upwards to release the cam from contact with the rope. It will fit a 12mm diameter rope. The safe load limit is unknown.
