Product Description
Reading, Writing And Arithmetic
About This Item
Are you looking to add a touch of nostalgia to your music collection? Look no further than the delightful debut album, "Reading, Writing, And Arithmetic," by The Sundays. This seminal release from 1990 will transport you back to a time when music was all about the basics. Unlike the overproduced music of its time, "Reading, Writing, And Arithmetic" is a refreshing and stripped-down affair.
The Sundays, with their simple guitar, bass, drum, and vocal arrangements, cut through the fog and proved that sometimes less is more. The driving force behind this debut's appeal is Harriet Wheeler's lilting and swooningly sweet voice. Paired perfectly with David Gavurin's terrific 12-string guitar, Wheeler's vocals take center stage.
While some songs may blur together, the album as a whole is a masterpiece that deserves repeated listens. The hit single, "Here's Where the Story Ends," is rivaled by other standout tracks like "You're Not the Only One I Know," "I Kicked a Boy," and "Joy." Don't miss your chance to own a piece of pop music history. Add "Reading, Writing, And Arithmetic" to your collection today and let The Sundays transport you back in time.

The Sundays (Artist) Format: Audio CD Dream Pop 2319644 Editorial Review
Reading, Writing, And Arithmetic is the debut album from the British indie band The Sundays. Released in 1990, this album showcases the band's tight and well-crafted songs. Harriet Wheeler's beautiful vocals and David Gavurin's guitar skills make for a poetic and heartfelt listening experience. While the single 'here's where the story ends' may overshadow the other tracks, the album as a whole is a must-listen for fans of indie pop.
