The translation brings new insights and fresh life to reading the text, making Augustine's story accessible and transformative for contemporary readers. The notes provided are helpful but not distracting, and the Prose is enjoyable. Many readers have found the translation to be exceptional and have new appreciation for Saint Augustine after reading it. However, some readers have found it difficult to cross reference quotes due to the numbering system, and others have found the language to be overwhelming.
