The MakerBot Replicator Desktop 3D printer kit has a good build plate size, easy-to-use UI screen/knob, and is compatible with 100-240V/50-60 Hz, making it a global product. However, it is not supposed to print ABS due to the lack of a heated bed, and has poor print quality with default settings using MakerBot filament. The fact that settings are completely locked down and the MakerBot print has performance issues on high-spec workstations, as well as app discontinuation issues, may not appeal to users. Though it has remote printing capabilities, there are serious issues arising. It also has no support for solutions such as Octoprint.
