This replacement filter set is specifically designed for Winix plasma wave air cleaners and fits models 9000, 5000, 5300 and 5000b, and replaces the previous model 115115. There was some confusion over whether it is compatible with the 9500 model, where customers reported having problems or fitted fine. The HEPA filter is made of a mesh of fibres, which are usually layers of cellulose, synthetic fibre or glass fibers and is effective in removing pathogens larger than 0.3 microns. Most of the customers liked the product, especially long-term users, and often remarked on how easy the installation process was. However, one customer complained about the filter producing dust while installing and the HEPA filter not lasting as long as the branded filter.
